Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the point?
We work with small businesses every day and the one thing we notice the most is that they lack a strong digital representation of their brand. Many have websites that are extremely outdated, have incorrect information, aren’t mobile-friendly, and serve very little purpose other than giving them the ability to say they have one. This contest gives SMB owner’s the chance to upgrade or obtain a website that can actually work to complete their business goals without paying a dime.
What’s the cost?
Nothing! There’s no fee for the winner or those who get nominated. The winner will receive our complete Essential Website Design package and one full year of Premium Website Support. Combined worth nearly $5000.00!
There’s got to be a catch! What is it?
Hmmm… if there’s got to be one… The winner will have to tell all their friends that they like to drink beer from a dirty boot! Just kidding! There’s no catch. Seriously, none!
How long before the new site is ready?
The timeline will be worked out between our team and the winner. Many times, new websites can be launched within 2-3 months, some even sooner!
What if I already have a website & work with a designer?
In this case, we’d work with the winner and identify what their goal is and how we can best assist them in accomplishing it. If it is to leave their current designer, we’ll work with them to ensure a smooth transition.
Will my website have any downtime during the change?
Not necessarily! There are a lot of factors that can cause downtime, like leaving your old provider, hosting, etc. We’ll work diligently to make sure that any downtime is limited, and in the event it occurs, we will create a dedicated page that stands in its place.
Will I have access to the new website?
Definitely, it is yours and yours to keep! We give direct access to all of our website clients, should you want to make changes, take it with you in the future, or any other reason, it is all yours.
What do you get out of it?
Well, you’re reading this, aren’t you? Hi, we’re Tipsy Social! We just got something out of it. As a small business ourselves, we like to build our brand awareness through fun contests, promotions, and incentives. This contest helps get our name out there.
Who can participate?
Small businesses, not-for-profits, and employees may submit nominations for their company/organization if they primarily conduct business within the Capital & Hudson Valley Regions of New York State. Businesses should have a primary address within these locations. We do reserve the right to void nominations for companies/organizations who do not primarily work within these areas and/or who engage in unlawful, derogatory, discriminatory, or illicit behaviors/business practices, as we deem appropriate.
