Business Development Specialist

Location : Hudson Valley | Position Type : Part-time

Our agency is growing, and we’re ready to add a Business Development Specialist to our team of small business marketers. The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for driving sales activities and the acquisition of new business.

To find success in this role the Business Development Specialist will need to be outgoing, responsive, dedicated, and passionate about identifying potential leads and translating real value on behalf of Tipsy Social. This person will be self-driven and goal-oriented with an internal drive to exceed expectations.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Seeking opportunities for business development within the Hudson Valley.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders in the community.
  • Responsible for introducing new and existing clients to expanded offerings.
  • Drive peak performance and sales.
  • Create, negotiate, and close on commercial contracts.
  • Visit clients and potential client locations alongside executives.
  • Chasing leads and following up on opportunities to generate sales.
  • Networking with businesses in the target market.
  • Instrumental in devising and implementing strategies to reach sales targets.
  • Develop a system for addressing the overall customer journey for a wide range of service offerings.
  • Work with other Tipsy Social staff to develop comprehensive campaigns to drive inbound sales.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years working in direct B2B sales.
  • Proven track record of winning new business.
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through the generation of leads.
  • Relevant industry experience and the knowledge of Tipsy Social’s market.
  • Highly motivated with a drive to succeed and a passion for sales.
  • A basic understanding of CRM tools and Google Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer services and oral/written communication skills.
  • Reliable form of transportation to travel within the Hudson Valley for meetings.
  • Ability to work remotely and execute with little supervision.
  • Ability to self-manage tasks, deliverables, and other duties.

Preferred Experience:

  • An existing relationship with key individuals within Tipsy Social’s target market.
  • Experience within the digital marketing space.

Salary:

Hourly + Commission
