The news came as a total surprise. When I received the call, I had no clue what to expect. It’s so humbling to know that people recognize the work that I do and the impact it is making in the region. I’ve always been the type of person to want my work to speak for itself. This award reinforces that hardwork, dedication, and doing the ‘right’ thing paysoff.
